Who's behind Era?

I'm Andres. I'm 27, and I've spent most of my adult life obsessed with food.

I started a vegan cookie business in Flagstaff when I was 20, selling to local cafes. It didn't last long, but it hooked me. From there I worked in restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, cafes, anywhere that kept me close to how food gets made and sold.

Between all that: a glamping business with friends near the Grand Canyon, construction work, a video editing agency I still run today. Traveled to 23 countries. Been nomadic for years, looking to settle soon and build a home base. 

Through all of it, food stayed at the center of everything I did. Cooking for myself, others, farming in Europe and America, falling down rabbit holes about nutrition and metabolism and how the body actually works.

Why Era?

I got tired of being lied to. There needed to be a new Era of food with old ingredients. 

I'd open Instagram and get hit with dozens of ads for protein powders, electrolytes, pre-workouts, all promising clean energy and optimal performance. Every single one was garbage. Artificial sweeteners. "Natural flavors" that aren't natural. Formulas designed to fake energy instead of provide it. All of it contributing to the slow collapse of our collective metabolism.

Even the "clean" brands were barely better. Still hiding behind the same loopholes. Still scared of real sugar. Still giving you 120 calories and calling it "fuel." If protein powder is marketed to athletes and gym-goers, why are we starving them?

How it started

I tried making gummies first, then Jell-O. Both worked amazingly, but the capital to scale those is still to be determined.

Then came Maple Milk: 30g of protein, 400 real calories, sweetened with actual maple sugar. No artificial or "natural" sweeteners. No "natural flavors." No fillers, thickeners, gums, or dyes...

4 ingredients, all of them on the front of the bag because there's nothing to hide.

Every batch is made by me, in small quantities, because that's the only way to know exactly what's going into it. No random manufacturer cutting corners. No mystery ingredients slipping in. Just a refusal to compromise and that will never change. 

As of now, we've shipped our first dozen packages. Small start. But this is how you build something real.

More flavors. More products. More people. Same standard.
